HongKong Trip Part 1

So... N levels are finally over and I finally have some time to start blogging again even tho not lots of people will see but I just felt like blogging? Hahah anyway lets cut to the chase and start talking about my Hong Kong Trip!

So if you guys had followed me on instagram, I mentioned that I'm finally flying back to Hongkong.  I don't know about you guys, but if you guys are my friends, I assume that you guys knows that my grandma is living in HongKong. The last time I went back to HongKong with my mom was when I was just only 8 years old and 8 years later I'm finally going back and this time round I travelled alone. Is a whole lot new experience for me because I've never take the plane alone before. Throughout this whole holiday trip, there's actually quite a number of problems/mistakes I've made heheh.

So on 23 October 2015,  I've went to the airport alone because my mom was working but then my friend was sending me off. So I went to the airport to meet her and check in my flight. This is where the first mistake I've made. I've actually forgotten to bring my confirmation slip to the airport!!! My flight was actually schedule at 3.45pm so I had all planned out, because I stay quite far from the airport, I decided to leave my house at around 1215-1230 and boarded the mrt. But when I reached Eunos mrt station I had to u-turn back because I realized that I've forgotten to bring my confirmation slip and at that time it was already 1pm. I've got no choice but to take a cab from Eunos back home then to the airport and I can tell you guys that hailing for a cab at Eunos is so damn hard, all the cab was either "on call" or "hired". I had to struggle for a cab for like almost 15 minutes and I had to spend about $23 for the whole trip and I only reached at 2pm.

So after checking in my luggage, I went to had my lunch with Sharifah and I ordered KFC because I haven't ate anything since the moment I woke up. After having lunch and taking some pictures with Sharifah, I had to board the plane, well it was so so so awkward for me because I was all alone, I didn't had anyone to talk to and literally all the adults are looking at me like wow this kid is boarding the plane alone. Throughout the 4Hours journey isn't really pleasent, because I had bought the JetStar air tickets and the person infront of me kept on banging the chair and lowering his seat. I was hungry at the same time and the food on the airplane was so expensive that I've decided to just eat my pocky biscuits that I bought earlier at the cold storage before I board the plane.

After suffering for like 4Hours in the plane, I've finally reached, but by the time I went out of the immigration it was already like 930pm and I haven't had my dinner. I had problems contacting my grandma too, because I don't have a HongKong sim card and my grandma came to the airport to fetch me, I couldn't contact her. I had to use the wifi in the airport and asked my mom for help to contact my grandma and let me tell you guys, the wifi sucks, it was so damn slow that I want to rage so badly. And by the way here comes the second problem but this wasn't my fault. The bridge that links the airport to the city got bang by a ship and all of us couldn't go home at all and we had to wait till almost 1030 to 11pm to get onto the bus and finally go home. But by the time I reached my grandma's place was around 1230am. But luckily there's a coffee shop right opposite my grandma house and I had a bowl of porridge and Rice noodle stuffed w BBQ pork. Let me warn you guys, not to order so much food in HongKong because the portion is very very big. I couldn't finish the porridge and my grandma couldn't help me eat because she's vegetarian and there's eggs and pork inside. So after my supper, I finally went back home and fell asleep at around 130am

So the next day, I had went to pass some medicines to the customer because as some of you guys know, my grandma works in HongKong. So after passing the medicines to the customers, we went to her buddha talk place ( I don't really know whats the word in english so I will just say buddha talk).
So yeah, after visiting her friends, we went over to Prince Edward and had dinner together at a restaurant so sorry because I couldn't remember the name of the restaurant and the photo I took was quite blur. This restaurant mainly sells vegetarian food, but they also have Pork, Beijing duck, fish that looks like it but isn't really meat. They always say "Take a stroll after dinner" so my grandma brought me to "Fa Yun Gai" a street that sells lots of cheap clothings! And because that period of time when I travelled to HongKong, the exchange rate was 1 SGD = $4.50 HKD

( This salad is a must to order especially those who LOVES salad! )

(So at this restaurant, they will normally give you a bowl of so called                                                             "Dessert" after you finish your dinner, how cool is that?)
( This is the restaurant that I'm talking about, so sorry for the bad quality tho, was in a rush so I couldn't take a clearer picture)

(Is my grandma cute enough for you guys?)

On the 3rd day, my grandma had decided to bring me to Shenzhen, China to stay for 3 days 2 nights. Going to Shenzhen from HongKong is really really easy, just take the mtr to lo hu and you will reach the immigration! My grandma has a house in China but unfortunately if we want to go over her house we had to take about an hour of train ride to reach so we decided to sleepover at one of her friend's house and luckily her friend's house is just nearby the checkpoint! Is just a 5-10 minutes walk.

(Basically this is a half sofa, half bed. I'm sleeping on the right while my                                                                                       grandma sleeps on the left)

On the 4th day, we went to had dim sum for breakfast and then we went to Dongmen for shopping! What's a holiday without shopping ehy? But I didn't manage to buy things because I didn't really see anything I like. But I bought 2 portables for RMB120 but unfortunately their portable sucks. They told me that I could at least charge 3 times but I couldn't even manage to charge fully once. So for those who wants to buy electrical things I suggest you not to buy from Shenzhen.

(This is my grandma's friend & I call her 'Lum Jie')

(Is quite plain dinner as Lum Jie & my grandma are vegetarians, so me                                                              and Lum Jie's daughter had to eat veges with them)
(This is a pumpkin bread, handmade by Lum Jie & is so delicious!)

On the 5th day, we had to leave Shenzhen early because my grandma and her friend gotta go to the Buddha talk place for lunch and its located at sham sui po which is in HongKong. At Night, we actually went to look at the night time HongKong scenery, it was so so pretty tho.

( This is the dog that stayed opposite my grandma's flat )

6th day, we actually went to Prince edward for lunch and went back home and then back to Prince edward again for dinner with my grandma's friends because one of her friend's will be going back to Malaysia. After dinner, my grandma's friend, my grandma and I went over to "Fa Yun Gai" for second round of shopping!

                                                  ( I spent 25HKD to catch this, 5HKD per try )

7th day we actually went to meet my grandma's friends again but this time round is a couple which I didn't see before. We went over to Panda Hotel for dim sum but sadly there isn't much choice because mostly is meat and my grandma and her friends are vegetarian so we only ate a bit and went over to another restaurant called "Bo Lin Vegetarian Restaurant". After our lunch, my grandma and I went over to Nathan Road area for facial. Girls gotta pamper themselves don't they? heheh

8th day, the day when my cousin came over to HongKong for 4days 3 nights and because my grandma's house is very very packed and small and the bed is double decker but my cousin said that she's just gonna book a hotel. So my grandma and I went over to the hotel to sleepover for a night because the next day my cousin's friend will be coming.

9th day, we actually had a free buffet breakfast in the hotel so we headed down to the cafe level but there isn't much choices tho. So after our breakfast we went back to the room and waited for my cousin's friend to arrive and then head out to Prince Edward for lunch. After lunch, my grandma and I went separate ways with my cousin. My grandma and I went over to "Cheng Sa Wan" for shopping  and then at night we went over to her buddha talk place for dinner. This is where my third mistake happen. Because after dinner, my grandma decided to stay for the buddha talk and I'm actually those type that couldn't really sit still unless is something interesting, so I went down for a stroll. But when my grandma called me and told me that the talk is over and asked me to go back up to collect my bag, I was lost. I lost my way, I couldn't find my way back, I was really panicking because in HongKong at around 830-9pm the shops starts to close down and that time when I was lost it was around 945pm. I had to roam around for like 15 minutes to find my way back and trust me, I got nagged by my grandmother for the whole night from the place to bus stop to home she keeps on nagging...
